Field update

The initial steps of our reef shark project have been taken. We successfully deployed activity transmitters on whitetip reef sharks and the data has been retrieved. looking at the raw data, initial results confirm that tourism has some affect on shark activity patterns. We have also ran swim trials for whitetips in aquariums, and we are currently in the process of combining the field and lab data to understand in field metabolic rates in whitetips. Watch this space for preliminary results…………
