Andrea Marshall, head of our Manta Rays Global Migrations project, is looking for some help in recovering a satellite tag that prematurely popped off of Humbolt, a manta tagged in Ecuador. Andrea and her team have tracked the wayward tag to the shore in northern Peru near the Ecuadorian border, and they are looking for anyone who might know someone in the area who could pick it up for them. The full details and exact location can be found in Andrea’s blog post, where she writes: "I realize that this tantamount to a mission impossible for most, but one thing that I have realized during my short time on this planet is that you never succeed if you never try."
