SHARK EDUCATION CENTRE RE-OPENS IN MARINE WEEK

12th October 2015

The Save Our Seas Foundation’s Shark Education Centre is re-opening its doors to the public on
Monday 12 October 2015 in celebration of National Marine Week. The centre has undergone
extensive improvements and now boasts state-of-the-art, interactive educational installations that
provide visitors with an immersive experience of the marine world on our doorstep.

The Shark Education Centre closed to the public in 2013 to allow for the refurbishment. Although
educational programmes with schools, outreach groups and holiday clubs continued during this
time, the Shark Education Centre is now thrilled to welcome back the public, including walk-in
visitors.

In addition to revamping some well-loved favourites like the large aquarium tank, many new
interactive exhibits have been custom-made and are now on display. The refurbishment is an ongoing process and we will continue to develop new displays and exhibits, making each visit an
exciting new experience!
