After-school Programmes

We run two longer-term programmes for under-resourced Primary and Secondary schools as extra-curricular activities. Both programmes aim to foster a deep love and respect for the marine environment and to inspire future ocean guardians. These ten-week programmes are available to schools by application only.

Sea School

Sea School is an arts-and-crafts-based programme for Primary School learners. The aim is for the learners to explore the marine ecosystem through a creative lens, allowing them to feel a connection to the ocean and imagine the world beneath the waves.

Marine Explorers

Our Marine Explorers programme is aimed at High School learners and introduces participants to the wonders of the sea through snorkelling on the Cape Peninsula. This programme aims to show learners that they can explore the sheltered waters safely and enjoy it at the same time. By experiencing the wonders of the kelp forest for themselves, we hope they will fall in love with the ocean and be inspired to protect it, becoming our future conservationists and change-makers.
