2019 has been a busy one for the Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Education Centre. We have had many school groups visit us and learn about sharks and life on the rocky shores.
These are some of the things we get up to with the school groups that visit us for the day.
We discuss how sharks benefit the environment by keeping the delicate marine ecosystem in balance.
Learners can explore the centre using the treasure hunt app as part of their outing.
We explore the intertidal zone at Dalebrook beach, if the tide allows, and often we find shark eggs!
We look at and touch some animal skins, teeth, shells and eggs.
We learn about how we can make a difference in our environment.
Most importantly we have fun while we learn!
