More kids at the Shark Centre

4th April 2012

We’ve had yet another busy month of running educational children’s programmes at the Save Our Seas Shark Centre, reaching almost six hundred youngsters during the month of March. Calm seas and day after day of windless, sunny weather has afforded the learners with some exceptional rockpooling conditions, and we’ve been treated to some amazing sights. In addition to seeing the usual huge variety of fascinating creatures, we’ve been treated to big pods of common dolphin feeding close to the shore, as well as some very obliging octopi displays of crab hunting amoungst the rocks. These are always welcome “disruptions” to our lessons, and hopefully provide lasting memories for the visiting children.
