Lessons

Lessons include school or community group visits to the Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Education Centre. We host both Primary and High School learners and can also offer outreach visits to schools if transport or scheduling is an issue.

Our lessons are provided free of charge, but booking is essential.

What happens during a lesson?

Visiting school or community groups receive a structured programme of educational activities, including one or two presentation-based classes. We also have several educational games and activities that help to reinforce the lessons learnt. The lesson might include a visit to the Dalebrook rocky shore (weather and tide permitting).

Who can join our lessons?

Our focus is on under-resourced schools within a 15-kilometre radius of the Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Education Centre. However, we may be able to accommodate other groups, depending on availability.

*We can assist on a limited basis with catering and transport for under-resourced schools. However, these schools must meet specific criteria before we can assist financially (please contact us for further details). The Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Education Centre team may also be able to visit schools and community groups that cannot travel to the Centre.
