Celebrating Teacher\u2019s Appreciation Day!<\/h2>\n

Teacher\u2019s Appreciation Day may only come around once a year, but let\u2019s be honest: our teachers and educators should be appreciated every day (and twice on Sundays)! So while the school principals are scrambling to put in the flower orders, we thought we\u2019d remind you of just why you ROCK!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here are 7 reasons why we think educators’ hard work and dedication should be recognised on Teacher Appreciation Day, and every other day too!<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Teachers are silent heroes<\/strong>
\nThere is so much that you do that goes unnoticed. You work silently during and after school hours, often without recognition. Sundays are spent planning and preparing for the school week ahead, and the school holidays are often not really holidays. So much hard work goes behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

Teachers still plan and prepare when they are sick<\/strong>
\nEvery teacher knows that it\u2019s more exhausting to plan for a substitute teacher than it is to drag your sick self to work and try to make it through the day. Going to work is often easier than articulating your daily plans to a substitute teacher. Then the guilt sets in: How will your students cope without you? Will the lesson be taught as well as you would do it? Will your less confident students get the support that they need? Who will coordinate your after-school sports session?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Teachers are multi-tasking speed eaters<\/strong>
\nI don\u2019t know of any other profession in which it is the norm to eat your lunch in four minutes while supervising a large crowd of small humans in a high-risk open space. But somehow, you manage to make it work!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Teachers have bladders of steel<\/strong>
\nTeachers, there\u2019s no time to go to the bathroom. Oh, and I forgot to mention that you\u2019ll be lucky if there\u2019s time to go during your so-called break. Part of your job as a teacher is to monitor your water intake so that you don\u2019t need to go to the bathroom during lesson time.<\/p>\n

Teachers give the most important gift of all<\/strong>
\nNot only do you give your students the gift of learning, but you also give them the gift of thinking for themselves. Never underestimate the positive impact you are making on the lives of individuals.<\/p>\n

Teachers shape future generations<\/strong>
\nTeachers shape the future by touching lives and strengthening communities. That is YOU I\u2019m talking about.<\/p>\n

Teachers open hearts and inspire minds<\/strong>
\nTeachers motivate their students and inspire them to be the best that they can simply by believing in them. This unwavering faith opens hearts and minds to the world of possibility.<\/p>\n
