This year on the 21st of September, the staff at the Shark Education Centre hosted a clean-up at Dalebrook beach as part of International Coastal Clean-up day.\u00a0 It turned out to be a very rainy and windy day but we put on our ponchos and boots and got stuck in.<\/p>\n

Each year the Ocean Conservancy runs the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) day.\u00a0 Volunteers from all over the world get together and clean up around beaches as well as lakes and rivers.<\/p>\n

The aim is to collect as much litter as possible and record the number and type of litter on a data form.\u00a0 This data is submitted by the volunteers and then collated and a report is put out every year.<\/p>\n
