The Save Our Seas Foundation\u2019s Shark Education Centre is re-opening its doors to the public on
\nMonday 12 October 2015 in celebration of National Marine Week. The centre has undergone
\nextensive improvements and now boasts state-of-the-art, interactive educational installations that
\nprovide visitors with an immersive experience of the marine world on our doorstep.<\/p>\n

The Shark Education Centre closed to the public in 2013 to allow for the refurbishment. Although
\neducational programmes with schools, outreach groups and holiday clubs continued during this
\ntime, the Shark Education Centre is now thrilled to welcome back the public, including walk-in
\nvisitors.<\/p>\n

In addition to revamping some well-loved favourites like the large aquarium tank, many new
\ninteractive exhibits have been custom-made and are now on display. The refurbishment is an ongoing process and we will continue to develop new displays and exhibits, making each visit an
\nexciting new experience!<\/p>\n

The Save Our Seas Foundation\u2019s Shark Education Centre on Main Road, Kalk Bay is open to the public on Monday to Thursday afternoons from 14h00 – 16h00. Entrance is free. We invite people to visit this centre to learn more about our organisation and the important conservation and education activities we are carrying out in Cape Town.
