It latches its mouth onto its prey and bites out a chunk of meat leaving a circular wound in the victim\u2019s flesh \u2013 just like using a cookie-cutter to cut a biscuit of dough.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tThe first sand tiger shark (ragged tooth shark) pup to hatch inside its mother\u2019s womb eats the other unborn pups until only two remain.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tSome weird and wonderful things have been found inside sharks\u2019 stomachs. Shoes, chairs, boxes of nails, drums, entire bottles of wine and the rear half of a horse are just some of the bizarre examples!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tThe dwarf lantern shark is the world\u2019s smallest shark, measuring about 17 to 18 centimetres max!<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tThe whale shark is the world\u2019s largest shark. It has been known to reach 13 metres in length and some people think it could grow as long as 18 metres!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9694\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 1666px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/saveourseas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/imported\/White.JPG\" class=\"fresco\" data-fresco-caption=\"\" data-fresco-options=\"thumbnails:false\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/saveourseas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/imported\/White.JPG\" alt=\" \u00a9 Morne Hardenberg\" width=\"1666\" height=\"1084\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9694\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Morne Hardenberg<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u2022\tThe largest great white shark ever recorded was 6.4 metres long and weighed about 3,000 kilograms.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tSharks don\u2019t have scales like other fish. Shark skin is covered with dermal denticles: small plates coated with enamel, similar to that found on our teeth. This makes the skin super tough and streamlined.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tSome sharks barely need teeth.
