The natural environments of D\u2019Arros Island and St Joseph Atoll are among the most ecologically healthy and unique in Seychelles and in the world. More sea turtles come to nest on the beaches, more sharks, rays and fishes swarm over the coral reefs and more seabirds nest and roost in the trees than at any other island in the Amirantes Group. The Save Our Seas Foundation D\u2019Arros Research Centre (SOSF\u2013DRC) is tasked with preserving and showcasing the ecological integrity of these islands and their surrounding marine environment through research, monitoring, restoration and education.<\/p>\n

RESEARCH ASSISTANT for the SOSF D\u2019Arros Research Centre<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Are you a young Seychellois passionate about our terrestrial and marine environments and willing to put your experience about conservation into practice? \u00a0This is your chance to apply for a position in the SOSF-DRC team with the opportunity for job development and growth at the D\u2019Arros Research Centre where you will be helping in all research activities, gaining new skills and enhancing existing onesand shaping the future of conservation in Seychelles.<\/p>\n

Applications only<\/span> open to Seychellois citizens and residents<\/strong>. The position comes with free room and board and a monthly shop allowance.<\/p>\n

CONTRACT:<\/strong> one year, renewable, with an initial three to six-month probationary period<\/p>\n

START:<\/strong> as soon as possible but flexible and to be determined with final candidate<\/p>\n

SALARY:<\/strong> SCR15\u2019000-20\u2019000 depending on qualifications and experience<\/p>\n
