Participating in a one-week environmental education camp on D\u2019Arros Island in the Amirantes. Photo by Dillys Pouponeau | \u00a9 Save Our Seas Foundation<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>What is the D&#8217;Arros Experience?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The D\u2019Arros Experience, initiated by the SOSF and its D\u2019Arros Research Centre (SOSF-DRC), aims to engage young Seychellois on the importance of the ecosystems that form part of their national heritage while providing practical, hands-on field experience in a globally important ecological hotspot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The D\u2019Arros Experience is an important component of SOSF\u2019s worldwide mission to promote environmental education and outreach. The idea is to provide students with a clear understanding of how ecosystems, from the coast to the deeper ocean, are connected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Find out more by watching a short trailer of the D&#8217;Arros Experience below:<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q4SijZq58Dw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>What is the competition?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The competition candidates will be judged on their\u00a0<strong>submissions of a\u00a0detailed profile<\/strong> of a person that inspires them to care about the Seychelles environment, whether on land or at sea. This person can be working in the environmental sector for an NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) or government or be teaching about ecosystems in your school.
