All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small – Cecil Frances Alexander

17th September 2015

With the Save Our Seas Foundation’s Shark Education Centre refurbishment going full-tilt ahead and our reopening to the public imminent, one of the most exciting things on our to-do list was re-stocking our beautiful aquarium tank with lots and lots of gorgeous sealife.

Along with a spectacular low tide, beautiful spring weather, daisies blooming and armed with our special permit from the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the team went out with a mission to find and collect critters of all sorts and give them a new home in our tank.

We were joined by Shark Education Centre Researcher in Residence Lauren De Vos and Nadia Bruyndonckx, from the Save Our Seas Foundation headquarters in Switzerland, who took some wonderful photographs of our expedition.

After carefully transporting our special finds back to the centre, came the task of gently introducing them to their new accommodation – a very interactive task indeed.

We are delighted to report that they are all settled in and thriving in the tank, and we can’t wait for you to meet them.
