During the event, filmmaker James Cameron was honored with the Award for Lifetime Achievement in Ocean Filmmaking at BLUE Ocean Film Festival’s Legacy Awards Dinner.
This is the second film by Sisbro Studios to win at the BLUE Ocean Film Festival. The Riddle in a Bottle, funded in part by the Save Our Seas Foundation, also won Best Children’s Program in 2008.
The Riddle Solvers: The Shark Riddle is the second episode in The Riddle Solvers series, featuring high-definition footage of over 20 different shark species and incredible music, including a Great White Shark Song and a Whale Shark Opera. The story follows siblings Laura and Robert on an adventure through the pages of a magical journal to solve a mysterious riddle about shark teeth. To solve the riddle, they meet a raucous group of singing sea lions, experience the underwater game show Are You a Shark?, hear a shark lullaby and meet children who build a life-sized whale shark sculpture at the Sanibel Sea School.
